Convenient Hire acquisition
It has been a very busy year for us, our Loo Hire division acquired Convenient Hire, Portsmouth back in April adding yet another depot to the growing A1 empire! We welcome all of the Convenient Hire Staff to the A1 team and look forward to working with you all!

Finally back to LIVE events! It has been an odd year operating during a pandemic but we are so happy to have had our first foray back into 'live events' with the supply of loo hire to the Download ‘Pilot’ Festival in June and the Royal Horse Show in Windsor. The rest of 2021 is shaping up nicely with other live events. |

£3k donation to local animal charity
Our local animal charity, Berkshire Animal Connection Centre are incredibly grateful for the donations and here is what they had to say!
"We wanted to say a massive thank you to A1 Group for their £3k donation made to the charity. We are blown away to receive support from yet another local, successful company who wants to support our mission and the work we do with our animals. April was a funny time of year, coming towards the end of the major lockdowns and also into a new financial year. Health & Safety update
Following a recent Health & Safety meeting it has been approved that the use of personal mobile phones will be restricted to break times only. Using a mobile phone whilst working is in breach of the A1 Group H&S policy and can result in a serious accident if employees are not completely paying attention at ALL times, their use whilst working is also deemed non-productive.
As a result, please note this restriction will come into force with immediate effect. Failure to comply with this reasonable request will result in Disciplinary action.
If an employee has an emergency, they need to deal with urgently that cannot wait until break time then they are to make the call in the general office. Your co-operation and understanding in the important matter is appreciated. |

New Starters & Leavers A1 Group is thrilled to welcome a number of new starters across our administrative teams; if you haven't already met them here they are.....
We welcome Laura Martin; Administrative Assistant and Polly Thatcher; Group Marketing at our Wokingham office. Vanessa Benson; Hire Controller based at our Oxford depot; Rebecca Dowlman; Admin assistant and Vicky Rout; Hire Controller based at our Bridgend depot. Ben Kemp; Hire desk administrator and Matt Doody; Trainee Manager based at Portsmouth. We have also had an influx of new starters including yard staff and drivers across our Wet Waste, Loo Hire and Car Spares departments. Welcome to the A1 Group!
