COVID-19 Memo 4

To Our Valued Customers and Partners,

During the past several days, we have seen significant measures implemented by states and provinces throughout the United States and Canada to help slow and contain the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.

Some of these measures have required some of our business partners and customers to significantly reduce their on-site workforces or temporarily halt operations. As previously addressed in several communications to both employees and customer/partners, DuraVent and Security Chimneys are “essential/critical businesses” that produce and deliver products that are used to ensure the safe and reliable operation of heating, ventilation and power generation appliances key to the safety and health of the general public.

While our operational status could change as the COVID-19 Coronavirus situation continues to evolve, we are committed to keeping each of our facilities open to produce and deliver these critical and necessary products that ensure the safety and health of our customers. As we continue to support the needs of our customers, our primary focus will continue to be the safety and well-being of our employees and their families. Each of our facilities is following the sustained guidance from national and local Centers for Disease Control and Public Health Agency offices regarding social distancing, sanitizing practices and other methods to limit potential exposure to the virus.

For those of you that have found it necessary to temporarily suspend operations, we are temporarily modifying our standard drop-ship prepaid freight policy, reducing the required minimum to $1,000 net. This change will allow these critical and necessary components to arrive on-site when required to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the appliances and equipment that provide heat, hot water and electricity to your customers.

Thank you for your business, partnership and confidence as we continue our journey in these unprecedented times. Following this memo is an update on each of our manufacturing facilities that detail our ability to produce and deliver the products you need for your customers.

The health and safety of our employees is paramount, and we must all continue to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please continue to let us know what we can do to help protect the safety and health of you and your customers.

Office staff have been given the option to work remotely from home.

The factory and warehouse are operating at full capacity to allow us to meet the needs of:

-- Hardware retailers and distributors that support the plumbing, HVAC and other service industries necessary to maintain the safety, sanitation and essential operation of residences

-- Safe operation and maintenance of essential infrastructure for public works and housing construction and residences

-- Other essential businesses that are supplied by DuraVent

All orders currently in-house will be produced and shipped as timely as possible, including Early Buy orders.

We will continue to accept orders but will prioritize those specifically for active projects that support the essential criteria above.

Laval, QC

The Province of Quebec announced that all non-essential businesses close for three weeks as of Midnight Tuesday, March 24th through Easter Monday, April 13th.

Office staff will be performing work duties remotely from home during that time period.

The factory and warehouse will be operating in a limited capacity that allows us to fulfill essential orders that support:

-- Critical power generation infrastructure for communications, information technology and healthcare

-- Heating appliances for residences as well as critical manufacturing and businesses

-- Hardware retailers supporting the plumbing, HVAC and other service industries necessary to maintain the safety, sanitation and essential operation of residences

All orders currently in-house will be produced and shipped as timely as possible.

Our estimating team will continue to fulfill quote requests.

We will continue to accept orders, but we will prioritize those that are for the above critical applications and lead times will likely be extended for a period

While not required to do so, we are taking the added measure of confirming our essential business status with the Quebec government to maintain our ability to support critical applications throughout Canada and the USA.

Albany, NY
