Learn about the U.S. Self Storage market

We at Universal Storage Containers normally visit all self-storage fairs. We are of course very sorry that this has not been possible for a long time due to COVID-19. Some organizers choose to organize an online variant. FEDESSA, the European trade association of self-storage companies, previously did this successfully in 2020.

2020 record year for self-storage industry

Last year I wrote that 2020 had become a record year for the self-storage industry in many ways. In the first two months of 2021, this trend continued in the field of acquisitions.

Investors are still looking for a safe haven because the book values of their other properties, such as offices and shops, have fallen sharply. This safe haven is clearly located in ‘our’ successful self storage industry.

The importance of testimonials

What do you believe more, a representative who tells you how great his product or service is, or a recommendation from one of his customers about his experiences? When it comes down to it, the words of another consumer are more likely to pull you over the line to take away a product or service. In this article we will deal with the great importance of testimonials for your company. We also look at how you collect them and how you write them.

Respond quickly to the customer

There are more and more, especially digital, opportunities for potential customers to reach out to you. But it is important to respond adequately to this, otherwise there is a chance that you will still miss the boat.

How do you do that? We will look at a few strategies to increase the chances of success.
