COVID-19 Memo 5

To our Valued Customers & Distribution Channel Partners:

All of us at DuraVent and Security Chimneys hope you, your families and your co-workers are remaining safe and healthy during these extraordinary times we are experiencing. As an essential business, we continue to support the needs of our customers, but our primary focus remains the safety and well-being of our employees and their families. Each of our facilities is following the sustained guidance from national and local Centers for Disease Control and Public Health Agency offices regarding social distancing, sanitizing practices and other methods to limit potential exposure to the virus.

I would like to thank each of you for the essential role you play in distributing product that helps us support the health and welfare of our local communities throughout North America. Our channels-to-market business model relies on our OEM, wholesale, distribution and retail partners keeping the supply chain full and ready to supply product and support quickly and efficiently. Your collective roles as business customers and channel partners are vital to ensure that the necessary product is available and ready.

In addition to maintaining our core business that provides products used to ensure the safe and reliable operation of critical heating, ventilation and power generation appliances key to the safety and health of the general public, DuraVent has been actively pursuing ways we can do our part to help support the war on COVID-19. On Monday we will be launching a new corporate initiative that encourages our facilities and employees to “Step Up to Help Out.” To support this initiative, amongst other programs, our teams will be:

Broadening our factory capabilities to help manufacture air filtration units being used in health care facilities, places of work and other public spaces

Providing delivered-meal services to health care workers on the front lines of the crisis at local facilities in our area

Sponsoring a COVID-19 testing day for first responders that will help in mobilization efforts and keep our front-line defenders safe

Supporting local area businesses in communities where we live with “thank you” gift cards for workers that provide essential services such as mail delivery, waste disposal, grocery, etc.

Many of you have called, emailed or sent letters throughout this situation thanking our team for their support and assistance during these trying times. Your kind words and actions are much appreciated. We will come through this by working together and doing our collective part help protect the safety and health of everyone in the countries and communities in which we live and work. I wish everyone a safe and healthy start to the spring holiday season. Be safe and be smart.
