Angela Fleming, one of the HPSMG Committee members, is pleased to invite you to an Open Day on Saturday 7th July. Her garden will be open from 10.30am - 12.30pm and from 2pm - 4pm. Do come along to see the garden and meet your Committee members. The cost is £4 to include refreshments.

Please note that the event is weather dependent. If rain is forecast, please check on the day by phoning Angela on 07724 494110 or 01923 842495.
Summer Picnics and Plant Fairs

It's a busy summer for HPSMG. On Saturday 9th June we had a stand at the Eastcote House and Gardens Summer picnic. It was a lovely day and we welcomed new members to the Group, sold lots of hardy plants and even met the Mayor!

On Sunday 15th July you can find us at Chenies Manor Plant and Garden Fair where we will be showing examples of popular hardy plants and promoting HPSMG. This is a very popular event with lots of specialist nurseries selling unusual and interesting plants so do come along and say hello to the team.
HPSMG Evening Meetings

We had an entertaining evening with Geoff Hodge at our June meeting who gave us some interesting tips on getting rid of pests, bugs and diseases in the garden - everything apart from a plague of locusts!

Our next evening meeting will be on Monday 3rd September when we are pleased to welcome Tom Atherton, National Member Secretary of the Sweet Pea Society. Come along to find out more about these wonderful flowers. Everyone is welcome so why not bring a friend? Free to HPS members, non member £5.

Trip to Chapel Down Winery

We have arranged a trip to the award winning Chapel Down Winery near Tenterden in Kent on Wednesday 3rd October which is during harvest
time. This is the vineyard which supplied the wines for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding so it's sure to be good. The trip will include a guided tour and tasting and we will also visit Falconhurst NGS en route for tea and cake.

The cost is £20 for the coach, £10 for the guided wine tour and tasting and £5 NGS entry. Pick ups from Ruislip St Martins (9.30am), Ickenham Coach and Horses (9.45am) and Hillingdon Station (9.50am).

If you are interested, please contact Lynn Ronayne-Belhadj by clicking on the email icon above.
HPSMG continues to grow!

We are delighted to say that we now have 112 members - an increase of 5% from last year. We are always on the look out for new members though and you are welcome to bring friends and family along to our meetings so they can see what we offer.

We hope that you enjoy the talks and trips we arrange but if there is anything - or anyone - you would like to see or do, please let Lorraine Shepherd know email: telephone 07970 237099.

However, to continue to run HPSMG we urgently need new Committee members to join our small team, as a number of the existing members come to the end of their tenures this year.
We are looking for people who are willing to get involved in a range of activities and help out where needed.

Without new members, there is a real risk that we won't be able to continue to run the Group so, if you can spare some time, please contact Lorraine.
Doing our bit for the environment and promoting HPSMG

They only cost £4 and are available from Lynn Ronayne-Belhadj by clicking on the email icon above. They will also be for sale at our Evening Meetings.

Why not enter our competition to win a free bag?
