| | PDMA Webcast: Wagile Product Development |
|
| | When: Thursday, September 10, 2020 11AM CT / 12PM ET
Description Is your innovation system failing you? Waterfall and Agile processes leave much to be desired. Wagile Innovation engages your customers and improves team collaboration.
Do your new products launch with mediocre market reception? If so, your innovation process might be to blame. Traditional waterfall processes become bureaucratic while Agile systems have not delivered on their promises, either. New product development fails due to poor product designs and misunderstanding of the markets.
Enter “Wagile” New Product Development. Wagile is a hybrid product development process that engages customers throughout the product design cycle while ensuring project execution meets internal requirements for scope, schedule, and budget. Implementing wagile leads to increased collaboration between the project team and potential customers as well as reducing time-to-market. All these factors result in higher success rates for your innovation system, enhanced profitability, and greater recognition.
In this session, you will learn how to implement a wagile product development process in your organization quickly and easily.

|
| | Competition Progress
The First Annual Global Student Challenge has received 27 submissions from student teams around the world. The submissions are an impressive representation of an original concept for a product, service, software, or a combination of the three. The well-developed submissions detail the unique value proposition, evidence of demand, and mockup or embodiment of product. Teams represented colleges from New Zealand, Australia, India, Poland, Germany, and the United States.
The top three teams (based on judging from a panel of 12 international PDMA members) will be showcased as part of PDMA’s Virtual Mini Conference on Thursday, Sept 17, and will share $5000 in prize money. All entrants receive a free one year student membership to PDMA and mention on PDMA’s website. Many thanks to the students, sponsoring professors, GSIC team members, and PDMA leadership.
Thank you to the students, sponsoring professors, GSIC team members, and PDMA leadership for their dedication and participation! |
