Dear friends,
Hope this finds you well. It's been quite a time in our country... But regardless of what’s happening politically, we believe in standing united with all community members to interrupt cycles of harm and foster healing. Our collective wisdom, imagination, and creativity will continue to guide ROI’s work.
In other news, we’re excited for Vichi’s return from a three-month sabbatical! She spent this restorative time traveling Vietnam, Turkey, and Italy, where she enjoyed a variety of international treats. And stateside, Graham celebrated his bachelor party in Nashville.
Keep reading to learn more about our work on expanding mental health access in schools and some exciting new grants we've secured to support youth in Edgecombe County. We’re thrilled by new opportunities to uplift young people and invest in their capacity as the future leaders of our vibrant community.
Onward! Vichi and Seth | |

"Get Off the Lists" Grant |
We also received a grant from Edgecombe County’s "Get Off the Lists" initiative, which will allow us to create a trauma-informed community youth group. The initiative aims to uplift community-generated assets and strategies for resilience to improve the county’s ranking in four key focus areas: Youth & Families, Education & Workforce, Health Equity, and Affordable & Safe Housing. Check out the County’s website for more details about this initiative. | |
