RISE to the Next Level of Your ATP Career with the ATP Mentorship Program! |
Looking to take your ATP career to the next level? Become a mentor and help shape the next generation of ATPs while earning a bonus for sharing your expertise. It's a chance to grow your leadership skills, support your peers, and be recognized for the impact you make. Check out how it's already helped advance the careers of Mike Martinez (ATP Sales Rep for San Antonio) and Louis McDonald (ATP Support for San Antonio)
Mike - What’s one piece of advice or insight from your mentor that’s made a big difference in your career journey? Louis is incredibly thorough during evaluations. He takes his time, asks the right questions, and always considers the patient’s presentation, therapist input, diagnosis codes, and who the payor is. It’s clear he’s well-prepared, and his professionalism really stood out to me. I’ve learned a lot just by watching how he handles assessments. Mike - How has being part of the ATP Mentorship Program helped you grow personally or professionally? Being a part of this mentorship program with Louis has given me a great balance of structure and support while I'm still learning. Having an experienced ATP to bounce ideas from, ask questions, and provide feedback has definitely been a great resource. I've picked up a lot of practical tips that I use every day in evals and provider conversations, which has sped up my learning curve as a new ATP. Louis - What inspired you to become a mentor, and what have you learned from your mentee so far? I remember how it felt to be a new ATP and not knowing if I was making good decisions for my clients. I hope to help by providing valuable information from mistakes I made and lessons I learned over the years. What I have learned from Mike is how important it is to share my experience and knowledge and how it really does help him to see the importance of providing the most appropriate equipment for our patients. Louis - How has mentoring someone impacted your own professional growth or perspective? Mentoring has re-engaged my way of thinking about each patient and their unique needs.
