Developing Professionally and Personally Through the Mentor Program |
We introduced the Mentorship Program to help new employees become more familiar with their work environment, understand the company culture, and build lasting relationships with their teammates. Many employees who have gone through the mentorship program have credited the program to furthering their career aspirations, growing their network, increasing their knowledge, and keeping them motivated to improve lives. If you’d like to contribute to improving the lives of your teammates, reach out to your manager for details on how you can become a mentor! Hear from Emily and Kaycee on how the Mentor Program improved their lives.
Emily Garcia - Office Assistant for San Antonio (mentor)
"I have greatly benefited from becoming a mentor on my ongoing journey with Rehab Medical. Through knowledge sharing and exchange, mentoring allowed me to learn new things from my mentee that I was not aware of or how to apply them to my day-to-day work routine. This continuous learning process not only enriches my own professional growth but also keeps me motivated and inspired to innovate and stay ahead in my career. In conclusion, being a mentor has not only benefited my mentee in their professional growth, but it has also been a transformative experience that has significantly contributed to my own continuous journey with Rehab Medical."
Kaycee Ward - Office Assistant for Oklahoma City (mentee)
"Having Emily as my mentor allowed me to compare and create my own processes by drawing on the ideas she shared with me, as well as understanding the existing processes at the OKC office. Emily was always available as a resource, offering her insights and expertise whenever I had questions or encountered challenges. Additionally, being from a different branch, Emily brought a fresh perspective to the table, offering new insights and approaches that I might not have considered otherwise. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from Emily and integrate her mentorship into my professional growth within the company." |

We are excited to announce that the Out of the Darkness Community Walk at Military Park on Saturday, September 7th, will officially count as a Q3 wellness challenge! This event, benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), is a fantastic opportunity to support a critical cause while participating in a physical wellness activity.
Suicide remains a significant public health issue, being the 11th leading cause of death in the US. In 2023, over 50,000 Americans lost their lives to suicide, marking a tragic record high. By joining this walk, you contribute to the vital research, education, public policy advocacy, and survivor support funded by the AFSP.

Community Service and Sweet Moments: Cork Medical’s July Activities |
Cork Medical had the opportunity to team up with the Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity to assist in building a home in July! The Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity seeks to transform lives by partnering with families, individuals, and our communities to create and preserve affordable housing solutions. During our volunteer time, we secured the framing, installed windows and doors, and installed front porch posts. It was a rewarding opportunity for our team.
In addition to our community service efforts, Cork Medical also hosted a separate Ice Cream Social for employees. It was a fun and refreshing way for everyone to take a break and enjoy some delicious treats together. These events highlight our commitment to both community involvement and fostering a positive workplace culture. If you’d like to learn more about what the Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity does, please visit their website here.

DME Solutions has been a Cork Medical customer since 2021, but they had never fully tested the negative pressure devices. Brandon Gregory, chief operating officer for DME Solutions, shared that the Cork team “assured me the Nisus was better than other leading negative pressure devices, and granted us a two-week trial period for testing."
"One of my nurses, who has extensive experience with negative pressure, conducted the trial with the Nisus Touch," stated Gregory. "Before the trial ended, she asked for additional Nisus Touch devices, stating she had never worked with a pump that could heal a wound as fast."
Thanks to the trial testing period offered by Jared and Noah's excellent customer service, DME Solutions went from averaging less than 10 pumps in rotation to more than 50 pumps in rotation. "The ongoing support we’ve received from Cork Medical throughout this process has been instrumental," stated Gregory. "We are excited and grateful for our partnership." |
