The Employee Assistance Program

Observed annually on the first Wednesday in November, national stress awareness day aims to identify and reduce stress factors of everyday life. Identifying your common stressors and proactively understanding how to manage them can significantly improve your mental and physical well-being.

This Wednesday, we invite you and your family to celebrate national stress awareness day by taking advantage of Rehab Industries’ Employee Assistance Program (EAP) powered by LifeMatters. The program’s user-friendly, confidential services are available to you and your eligible dependents for free 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

These services include virtual and face-to-face assistance for dealing with stress, depression, personal problems, family and relationship concerns, financial or legal concerns, adoption assistance, child and elder care assistance, home improvement assistance, and pet care assistance.

Whenever you or your loved ones need useful ideas, helpful resources, or reliable professional care, please visit mylifematters and enter the company password: RM1 to access all that LifeMatters has to offer.

We’re Growing and We Need People!

Exciting news — three unique videos are now available to help you recruit new employees to your teams! The videos showcase what it’s like to work at Rehab Medical and reveal what drives our employees to improve lives. Created by the marketing team, these videos highlight our unique culture and the qualities we seek in candidates. Feel free to share these in your organic social posts to promote open positions. You can find them on our YouTube channel.

Supporting Communities: Our Commitment to Philanthropy

Improving lives is more than just a mission at Rehab Medical—it’s a driving force behind our commitment to the communities where we live and work. In honor of National Philanthropy Day on November 15, we want to highlight two impactful events we supported in October, showcasing our dedication to making a difference beyond our business.

First, Rehab Medical was proud to support CPATH’s Light the Path fundraiser in Austin, Texas. This incredible event raised funds for Cerebral Palsy Awareness Transition Hope, a non-profit organization that supports individuals with cerebral palsy. Thanks to the event, resources will be provided for adaptive recreational programs, educational workshops, inclusive family camps, and much-needed support for individuals transitioning into adulthood with cerebral palsy. Attendees Kyle Radtke and James Lampson represented Rehab Medical at the event, which will help extend CPATH’s programs across Central Texas.

We also sponsored NeuroHope’s Golf Scramble in Indianapolis, Indiana. NeuroHope, non-profit organization outpatient therapy clinic for those recovering from neurological conditions, will use the funds raised to expand its services, including adding aquatic and speech therapy programs. Rehab Medical team members Kenny Hicks, Brandy Murphy, Terrel Brown, and Paul Brady took part in the scramble, helping to raise funds that will support hundreds of patients and assist with NeuroHope’s growth and relocation efforts.

Our involvement in these events reflects our corporate philanthropy philosophy—supporting causes that align with our mission of improving lives. We encourage teams across Rehab Medical to get involved with community efforts in their areas. For more information, reach out to Sarah Gegner while Jessi Harris is on maternity leave through December. Together, we can continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us.

Teamwork Triumphs: We Need Your Stories!

We're putting together an inspiring project and want to hear from you. What hurdles have you and your team overcome this year? How did leaning on each other make a difference? Help us celebrate the power of teamwork by recording a short video (1–2 minutes, shot horizontally) sharing your experience and what your team did to succeed.

Submit your video by November 22 to this Dropbox link. If you prefer help to record your video, Marketing will do it for you! We will be recording these videos for team mates at the Corporate office on November 18 from 1-3pm. Just email ghays@rehabmedical.com if interested. We can't wait to showcase your stories!

In October, Forza expanded its portfolio by acquiring two USRD properties: the 40-unit Clay Village Apartments in Uhrichsville, Ohio, and the 24-unit Green Valley Apartments in Bunker Hill, Indiana. These properties fall under the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Rural Development program, which focuses on promoting economic development and affordable housing in rural areas. Through USDA support, these communities benefit from federal programs that aid in the purchase, renovation, and construction of properties, contributing to the growth and well-being of rural regions.
