Hi %FIRSTNAME%,
Last month I talked about transition — the natural shift that happens as we start thinking about handovers and the year ahead. This month I want to build on that with something a little more personal: renewal.
Not renewal in the administrative sense. But the kind that sneaks up on you when you actually show up, lean in, and let EO do its thing.
As I reflect on the year so far, I'm genuinely blown away by what this chapter has delivered.
IMPACTFUL EVENTS
From the extraordinary Julia Gillard setting the tone all the way back in July, to the raw, unfiltered wisdom of Larry Kestelman at the Vincent Fantauzzo Gallery.
From the unexpected power of breathwork, to the warmth and depth of connection at our Shabbat dinner.
And next week, we get to sit down with Chris Lucas at Society - another one not to miss.
Each of those experiences has left a mark on me. Not just as a chapter president, but as a person.
And then there's the stuff that doesn't make the event calendar.
INCREDIBLE GROWTH THROUGH FORUM
My forum has been a quiet constant through all of it - challenging me, holding me accountable, and giving me a space to be real.
Next week we head to Kuala Lumpur for our retreat, and I genuinely cannot wait.
Forum is where the magic lives, and if you're not getting everything you hoped from yours, it's worth asking why - and doing something about it.
GROWTH THROUGH GIVING BACK
The other thing that's shaped my year in ways I didn't fully anticipate is stepping into the Path of Leadership. It's been uncomfortable at times, stretching in others - and absolutely worth every bit of it.
The growth I've experienced by putting my hand up, leaning into uncertainty, and trusting the process has been real and lasting.
Which brings me to you.
As we head into the final stretch of the chapter year, I'd love for you to take a moment and ask yourself: what have I actually gotten out of EO this year? And more importantly — is it everything I wanted?
Because here's the thing: EO gives back what you put in.
The members who get the most out of it aren't necessarily the ones who attend every event - they're the ones who show up fully, share openly, and actively shape their experience.
If there are parts of your membership that feel underutilised, now is the perfect time to change that.
A HINT AT THE YEAR TO COME
Which brings me to what's coming - because there is a LOT to be excited about.
We are heading into our 30th year as a chapter. Thirty years of entrepreneurs showing up for each other in this city. That deserves to be celebrated in style, and trust me, it will be.
Our chapter retreat is going to be something special, and IGNITE is shaping up to be one of those events you'll be glad you didn't miss.
All of this - the programming, the initiatives, the direction of the chapter - has been shaped by member feedback. Which is exactly why what's coming next matters.
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
We have launched our Annual GOAT Chapter Survey, and this is your chance to have a genuine say in where EO Melbourne goes next.
What's working. What could be better. What you want more of.
What you want us to build toward as we step into this milestone year.
Please fill it in. It takes minutes and it genuinely shapes what we do.
This community is better when every voice is in the room - and that includes yours.
Make sure you complete the survey. We look forward to your insights.
