Psalm 19:8: “The commandments of the LORD are right,

bringing joy to the heart.”

How many times have you tried to encourage someone and found it difficult to choose the right words? Isaiah 50:4 says, “The Sovereign LORD has given me His words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning He wakens me and opens my understanding to His will.”

What a privilege it is that the Lord Himself wants to teach us how to use the right words. I recently experienced something special when someone shared with me about a terrible thing that had happened to her. One of the verses I read that morning immediately came to mind, and I thought of Isaiah 50:4 when she began to cry and said, “That is exactly what I needed to hear today.”

It made me realize once again how much blessing we and others miss when we don’t take enough time to read and memorize God’s Word. Do you make time to listen to what the Lord wants to teach you?

With this in mind, I now want to invite you to join thousands of women from around the world next year in reading through the Bible in a year. The Read Through the Bible global movement starts on January 1, 2026, and I encourage you to prayerfully consider participating. (See more information below.)

2026: WONDER App for teen girls

The WONDER discipleship App is designed to engage thirteen- to seventeen-year-old girls in God’s Word, inspiring them to know Jesus, live out His truth, and share God’s love with others! In partnership with Dannah Gresh, cohost of the Revive Our Hearts podcast, the app will help teens get into the Word of God every day.

We are including information about this element now because it is part of the Wonder of the Word initiative. The WONDER App will release on January 1, 2026 in English and then in Spanish a few months later. We would like to make it available in additional languages in the future.

2027: Teach through the Bible

Are you ready to be captivated by the Bible's truth all over again?

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Wonder of the Word project! Our team in South Africa is currently translating 260 powerful Bible teachings by Nancy De Moss Wolgemuth—covering Genesis through Revelation—into Afrikaans.

The central focus of every message is the same profound truth: Jesus Christ and His perfect sacrifice to restore our relationship with God.

Get ready! This life-changing resource is set to launch in January 2027.

Ephesians 2:8-10 (CSB) reminds us: “For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift — not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.”

  • Divine wisdom, discernment, skill, strength, perseverance, and everything the team may need;

  • Solutions for technical and technological challenges; and

  • A desire among women to become part of the project.

To help you prepare for the teachings in 2027, we want to invite you to participate in the Read through the Bible project in 2026.

Take Heart Women’s Camp feedback

Our Take Heart! God is Faithful women’s camp took place over the weekend of 26-28 September. 37 Ladies attended the camp, and it was truly a blessed weekend together. Retha taught from Psalm 107. This Scripture came to life through her teaching, as well as 5 beautiful stations that were on display to visualise the text. Jackie taught on the topic, Who is God? All the sessions were well received and filled with Truth. The teachings were extended by Spirit-filled worship by Gerda, who led our ladies in a simple yet powerful way, on her guitar, as we celebrated Jesus with songs rooted in childhood church camp memories. God touched many women, each in a different way. Ladies were able to receive, respond and experience refreshment, freedom and peace - some have not known these realities for some time, and it was beautiful to witness the change in expression from the coming in on Friday afternoon to the departure on Sunday. We give God all the glory! He is worthy of our complete and uttermost praise! Thank you, Lord, for every breakthrough, every revelation, every act of love, every touch and for your unmatched presence.  1 Cor 3:6-7: “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So, then, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.”

A few testimonies:

I cannot tell you how impactful this weekend was! It's been a really tough week, life- shattering type of tough, but He spoke to my heart so clearly this weekend, and I cannot wait to share my testimony in due time. Thank you for making this weekend possible for myself and my friend.

Honestly, it was what I needed most, just to be away from my normal life. I always find blaming myself all the time. I learned to surrender, let it go, and forgive. Thank you for the powerful teachings, Retha and Jackie. The play time was lovely; it taught me a lot to stop and have some fun. The quiet time was a beautiful moment. Saturday night, I cried, all tears of a new beginning. I felt the presence of God. I was on another level and place. May God continue shining through your lives. Blessings

I understand how unforgiveness hampers my relationship with Christ. I am in awe of His love.

Before I came to the camp, I asked God to shut everything which is going on in me and help me just to be in His presence throughout the weekend because I knew that by my own strength it was impossible, and God came through for me because the whole weekend I was in the present moment. Yes, I feel that I am in a storm and I have carried a heavy burden, but I came back with peace, I also rest in Him and got a new revelation. And when I received my Scripture with my name tag, I got the one with my name and I found out that I am having the same Scripture, which is Matthew 7:7. That is something that I need God’s guidance and help with.
During the last session on Saturday, when we had quiet time with the Lord, the picture that I got is the child running to the arms of His Father with open hands. After Mma Retha prayed for me, I went to rest in God’s arms and all my worries were gone. When I arrived back, the situation had not changed but I have peace. I am no longer worried or bothered. Thank you, Father, for loving us unconditionally.

In August 2025, Anneke joined our ROH Women of the Bible study on Abigail. What a blessing it was to hear that she had also attended the 2019 ROH SA conference in Pretoria, where the words “Calling women to freedom, fullness, and fruitfulness in Christ” left a lasting impact on her heart. Her testimony continues to shine as a story of encouragement and God’s faithful provision.  Let Anneke tell you herself:

“I am a South African missionary working in Mozambique. Revive Our Hearts has been part of my life for probably the last 10 years. I listen to the podcasts on almost a daily basis. Last year, a missionary friend of mine asked me if I could give her English lessons. She is Mozambican and wanted to improve her language skills. We started having English lessons online as we both lived in different cities. To help with her listening skills, I sent her the links to Revive Our Hearts podcasts. In the beginning, she would listen to a podcast two or three times to understand it! But with time, she got better and later on would only listen to it once, understanding everything. She really loved the teaching, and I remember how she listened to the first message in a series that Nancy did on Proverbs 31. It made an impact on her about how it is her responsibility to show the Lord to her children in a purposeful way. I remember how we shared together, and she even had tears as she prayed that she would be that kind of mother to her daughters. My friend enjoyed the podcasts so much that she started using them for discipling younger girls. Right now, she is using the Esther series in discipling another young lady. What I started as an activity to practice listening skills turned into a ministry resource that has greatly blessed both of us. We are thankful for the way the Lord has used Revival Our Hearts in our lives.”

Thank you, Jesus

Prayer requests

1.

Psalm 119:105: “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.”

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Word — steadfast, alive, and unchanging. It provides light when our paths are dark, wisdom when we are uncertain, and comfort when life feels heavy. Thank You that through Scripture, You speak directly to us — guiding, correcting, and strengthening us each day. May Your Word remain our anchor through every season, our source of joy, and our reminder that You are near.

2.
Psalm 28:7: “The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs on thanksgiving.”

As the year comes to an end, many of us feel tired from the journey. Still, we thank You that You never grow tired. You are our strength when we are weak, our hope when we are discouraged, and our peace when life feels too much. Help us all to finish this year not in exhaustion but in expectation — knowing that the same God who has carried us this far will keep leading us forward.
